It was sad to hear about Mississippi State football player Nick Bell passing away from brain cancer earlier this week.  As as Mississippi State alum, I think a fitting tribute to this young man would be to officially name the cowbells used so passionately by Bulldog fans, the “Mississippi State Nick Bell.”  Mississippi State already has a logo depicting the cowbell.  It could easily be altered, and Mississippi State could fund a scholarship in his name from the sales of all future Nick Bells.  While the idea may seem a bit corny, it is definitely one that would make sure Nick Bell’s memory lives on at Mississippi State.
